I am looking forward to sharing my love of cooking and baking with you through recipes that showcase the specialties of each season. Many of these recipes will be from the cookbook I published, “Anne’s Favourites: Food for the Heart and Soul”.
I was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease and am adapting many of those recipes to be gluten-free and will share my experiences with this challenge. I have been so thankful for the wealth of information that I have found online as I explore this new way of life and hope I can add to that collective knowledge so others may benefit also.
Anne: Thanks for introducing me to this blog. I love your book and highly anticipate what Anne’s NEW favourites will be, gluten-free or otherwise. By the way, I just recently served up your gluten free chocolate almond cake, with your recommendation of fresh raspberries and whipped cream, again to rave reviews.
Thanks Anne:)
Congratulation! I am very happy to see your blog!
Cathy, love the idea of your blog, and the baking looks mouthwatering good!
Keep up your enthusiasm it’s awesome!
We are thrilled to see this blog, Anne, and look forward to learning more from you!
The pix are great and the whole idea of the blog.
Hi Anne
I used the Queen Elizabeth Cake recipy at my Pepper card playing gathering. It was a great hit. So nice to be able to make onlyone dessert when you have a celiac guest. And it was recieved with cudos with many asking for the recipy. Thanks
Deirdre
Thanks Deirdre! The Black Forest Cake (pg 212 Anne’s Favourites), Chocolate Zucchini (pg 211) Cake and Cliff’s Favourite Carrot Cake (pg 209) work perfectly with any GF all purpose flour substitution also. I tried the carrot cake variation that Margie posted to my blog with the dates and it was delicious. I will try to get a photo and post it in the next little while. I like the date/carrot combo very well!
